Dr Mark Teng
MD., FRACGP, FAMAC
General Practitioner and Medical Acupuncture Specialist

Dr Teng completed his medical degree at Airlangga University Medical School Surabaya, Indonesia and migrated to Australia to join his family in 1982. He completed the Australian Medical Examining Council in 1983 and started working in the Australian medical system. Dr Teng is fluent in Indonesian. He was working at the St Joseph Hospital, Auburn and the Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards. In 1986, he started working as a general practitioner until now.
During his career, Dr Teng studied medical acupuncture and medical laser therapy. He uses the techniques he has learned to manage his patients’ health, reducing reliance on medications and therefore less side effect for his patients, especially the elderly. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and Fellow of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College (AMAC).
Dr Teng is a current mentor, teacher and examiner at the Australian Medical Acupuncture College (AMAC). He is also a member of the Australian Medical Association (AMA), the RACGP and the Australian Medical Photo-biomodulation Association (previously known as the Australian Medical Laser Association). He is the current Vice President of the AMAC and the President of the NSW Branch of the AMAC. Dr Teng is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the Ashfield Presbyterian Aged Care Pitt Wood, Summer Hill Windermere Nursing Home and Ashfield Baptist Home.

Dr Elizabeth Tan
MBBS (UNSW), Grad Dip Psychiatric Medicine
General Practitioner

Dr Tan graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1981 and completed her training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney.
Since then, Dr Tan has 25 years of experience as a General Practitioner in Sydney. Her main interests are General Medicine, Women’s Health and Mental Health especially in supporting carers of loved ones with eating disorders and other mental and/or physical illnesses.

David Blyth

David has over 40 years’ experience in the Mental Health Assessment and Recovery Based Counselling for teenagers, young adults, adults and the elderly focusing on their resourcefulness to live with and recover from a wide range of mental and physical health conditions. David’s careful approach to mental health assessment & treatment focuses on successful and sustained recovery.
David also offers support, education and therapy for carers of those with complex and chronic mental health conditions or medical illness, couples seeking to improve communication, manage conflict and enrich emotional connection within their relationship and specialised consultation with families considering international relocation.

Herbert Tjiong

Herbert has been an Optometrist on Sydney’s North Shore since 1980. After obtaining his Bachelor and master’s degree in optometry, Herbert practiced as a clinical supervisor for the University of New South Wales for 10 years while working full time.
Herbert is fluent in Indonesian, Mandarin and Cantonese. Herbert is passionate about providing a high standard of care for all his patients and engages the latest technology and instruments in his optometry practice.

Tuo Tao

Tuo Tao is an Accredited Practising Dietitian working in private practice in Sydney with more than 12 years private practice experience.

Tuo believes in targeting the individual needs and lifestyles of his clients to help them achieve lasting changes and improvements to their health. Our health can significantly be impacted by our daily eating habits, food choices and cooking methods. To equip his clients with the knowledge to make incremental positive changes to their eating and food shopping habits, Tuo has developed a strong interest and knowledge of supermarket foods. Combined with teaching his clients how to modify recipes as needed, he has assisted many clients to improve their overall health without necessarily sacrificing a lot.
Having grown up in China, Tuo also enjoys teaching people about healthy Asian foods and cooking.

Jamie Perrett

Jamie has over 18 years of experience as a Social Worker in the mental health space. She is a genuine, warm and empathetic person who provides a safe space to support adults of all ages to identify their unique strengths, instill hope and guide people towards growth and lasting change. Jamie provides comprehensive Mental Health Assessment and psychological therapy for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, sleep difficulties, grief and loss, work stress, burnout and adjustment disorder related to a significant change in an individual’s life.
Jamie is passionate in supporting women experiencing challenges in their personal and professional lives. She has a special interest in supporting older people recover from mental health concerns and improve their quality of life.
